At Rotor Technical Services, we can greatly reduce your energy costs through our energy saving services. We can provide energy audits for all potentially inefficient motors on-site (namely fans and pumps), and identify which motors are candidates for energy saving modifications.

You will be provided with an in-depth report following an energy audit, detailing all project costs, energy savings, and return on capital investment. We are also able to install a variable speed drive for testing purposes, in order to demonstrate the results before you commit to any work being done.

Our energy saving service most often involves changing the way that the speed of fans or pumps is controlled in relation to the motor. Most motors run at a rated speed while the speed of the fan or pump is controlled using throttles and dampers. Our solution is to install a variable speed drive, which runs the motor at the correct speed required for the task.

Some of the benefits of using a variable speed drive include:

• Massive energy savings, often resulting is cost reduction of thousands of pounds per year
• Reduction in belt wear and increase in motor life due to soft starting process
• Variable speed drive can be interfaced with external systems & components, such as pressure transducers, temperature sensors, building management systems (BMS)
